Project development for Master thesis ETH Zurich
An interruption in the "common" urban fabric of the site suddenly "blank". We interpret it by deploying 4 superblocks with a very simple geometry. Each of these blocks with their spatial configuration represents a finding of qualities within the inside and the outside. Through 4 different themes for each block the most important references from the context are interpreted and transliterated into architecture. The structuring, the framing of the qualities is done in different aspects : the physical, the social and the programmatic. Within every block there is a loop of public shared spaces which are categorized by proximity, accessibility and involvement. Each of these programs are translated from the inside to the outside of the block creating entangled narratives based on different user groups and different graduation between the public and private space.
